“We shall not forget.”

 No rambling blog today, no humor, no sarcasm.

Let us all remember  a film clip of Mike Wallace interviewing some Russians in Red Square when the USSR was breaking up. One soldier, who was on the edge of the crowd responded to Wallace’s question about the new freedom the Russians were experiancing, amidst food shortages, no jobs, a complete breakdown of government and quietly replied to Wallace,….” Freedom is worth more than a pound of sausage.”

    We need to constantly remember that as well. Freedom comes at the highest of prices, and those who paid that price can never be forgotten, particularly those who had no idea they were going to pay anything on September 11, 2001 in New York City.

    Take a minute today, and pause,…..they gave everything for our freedom.
